Wow!  Who would have guessed that you were having trouble eating just days ago?!  Mommy and daddy are pretty tired right now.  We were very afraid that because you were bottle fed for the first week or so and that you weren’t a big eater that we were going to have a hard time getting you to breast feed.  Boy were we wrong!   You took right to the breast and are now feeding about every two hours!  We were ecstatic that you managed to go a whole 3 hours last night without wanting to eat!  We know that as the weeks pass the feeding frequency will get better, but that doesn’t mean that we’re not tired right now! 

You took a 2 hour nap in mommy’s lap last night and she promptly fell asleep with you.  It was very precocious to see my two princesses so cozy.  Watching you fall asleep on my chest is one of my favorite things.  Laying you on my chest almost always seems to sooth you and is guaranteed to put you to sleep.  …but now that I think about it, I think I could put you on a pile of bricks and you’d fall right asleep.  ;).
 
Grandma Karen and Grandpa Bruce were here last week.  The both drove down from Iowa the Friday after you were born.  Grandpa had to go back early for work so he drove back by himself.  Grandma was here until Saturday and flew home by herself.  They both love and adore you so much.  It’s hard for them to be so far away from you.  I see a lot of trips to Iowa in your future.

Mommy and I have enjoyed a couple days alone with you.  It’s been great!  I’m sad that I have to go back to work this week.  Mommy will be on her own for a couple days until the 2nd wave of reinforcements arrives.  Grandma Luli will be here next week to help out Mommy.  Your mom is excited to get to spend some quality time with her mom.

Great Aunt Dannise will be here Friday to meet you for the first time.  And this will be the first time for her to see our new house.  Once you get your shots and your immune system grows a little stronger we’ll be making a trip to Tyler to meet your Great Grandma Louise (Momma Lou) and Great Grandpa Dann (Daddy Dann)

You have a check-up tomorrow so we should have another updated for all of your friends and family later this week.
